Vanilisocker - Ikea : Philadelphia, PA

This was a neat item I picked up during my trip to Ikea.

I don’t know if this package will really keep this sugar fresh, so I will be switching it into a glass container pretty soon. The box has a pretty pattern on it, and I like the color combination. There is an English label added to the box so that I can read the vanilla sauce recipe, and I plan on making it soon! (It sounds amazing.)

Opening the box, I can see the flecks of vanilla bean in the sugar! I was really impressed by that. It has the consistency of confectioners sugar, and smells just like French vanilla ice cream tastes!

The sugar tastes exactly like it smells! Just like French vanilla ice cream. There is a bit of an artificial-sweeter aftertaste, but I am not sure if that will show up when used as an ingredient.

For the rest of the week I’ll be updating with some Ikea goodies, and after that I’ll move on to the new Asian grocery goodies!
