Cream Cheese and Crab Wontons -  Pinterest Recipe Review : The Pin

This is a VERY easy and VERY yummy recipe. (Plus the finished product looks professional and impressive.) Since pinning it, I have completely stopped ordering these from take-out restaurants!

All you need is a package of cream cheese, green onion, garlic powder, and oil. (You can check out THIS recipe for more details.)

The only modification I made to this recipe was adding crab meat. (I just mixed it in with the cream cheese filling.)

I have made these several times, and here are some flavor variations I have done:

Jalapeno Popper: I added shredded cheddar cheese and diced jalapeno peppers to the cream cheese mixture.

Pumpkin Pie: I had some leftover pumpkin pie filling and wonton wrappers from other recipes, so I fried up some little pumpkin pie wontons and sprinkled them with cinnamon.

Cherry Pie: The same as the Pumpkin, but with cherry filling.

Wonton wrappers are a fantastic item to have in your kitchen or pantry. They are easy to use and delicious! (I want to make some buffalo wing and pizza ones)

Homemade Pizza -  Pinterest Recipe Review : The Pin

Here are some photos of the pizzas I made for dinner tonight!

I used THIS  pizza dough recipe, that I found on Pinterest.

The recipe was VERY easy to put together, and the finished crust was crispy and delicious. What I really liked was that the finished product was sturdy enough to hold all the toppings I added.

I made 2 pizzas tonight, each one used ingredients I already had in my fridge.

Sausage +  Veggie: Fresh mozzarella and Parmesan cheese with red, orange, yellow, and green bell peppers, onion, broccoli, cauliflower, sausage, and banana peppers.

Cheese: Fresh mozzarella and Parmesan cheese with garlic butter basted on the crust.

Both pizzas turned out fantastic and I plan on making another one tomorrow. (Possibly Buffalo Chicken or BBQ chicken.)

Soft Pretzels and Buffalo Cheese Dip - Pinterest Recipe : The PIN
Time for another Pinterest recipe! I think I’ll try and do a Pinterest recipe every Sunday so I can slowly work my way through my recipe board.
I have been wanting some warm soft pretzels for a while, and pinned a bunch of recipes for them. I finally decided to make some last night and opted for this recipe which included some yummy buffalo cheese sauce for dipping.
The recipe was very simple and easy to follow. (Especially if you have a standing mixer with a dough hook.) At first glance the steps can be a little intimidating, since you boil the pretzels before baking them in the oven, but really it’s all very easy to do. (The boiling step is very important for the proper texture.)
The finished pretzels were soft and fluffy inside and chewy outside. They were perfect! The buffalo sauce was tangy and delicious as well, it tasted just like the buffalo chicken dip I made for the New Years party I went to.
The original poster made 8 pretzels with their recipe, but I made my pretzels a bit smaller and made 11. (They were still really big.) I am definitely going to make this recipe again! Next time I might make little pretzel nuggets instead. (Those are better for dipping.)

BBQ Pulled Pork - Pinterest Recipe : The PIN
Time for another Pinterest recipe!
I had a bunch of friends over tonight so I made some pinterest recipes. One of them was this BBQ pulled pork.
The recipe was super easy, but the outcome was VERY VERY sweet. The whole thing really depends on what BBQ sauce you use. Even though I used a tangy sauce, it got a lot sweeter as it cooked down. So I had to modify the recipe a bit to cut the sweetness.
I added a half cup of vinegar, about 3 tablespoons of hot sauce, and a teaspoon of red pepper flakes.
The outcome was pretty delicious! About 3/4th of it was eaten up. (Maybe more might have been eaten if I hadn’t run out of buns.) Overall this recipe is a lot like the mini pulled pork sliders sold at White Castle. I will definitely be using this method of making pulled pork again, but I’ll stick to my modifications and not the actual recipe.

Melon Pan - Pinterest Recipe : The Pin

Since I can barely taste today I am posting something I baked a while ago.
This was a recipe I found online for Melon Pan. I wanted to make some for my sister’s birthday, and they turned out pretty nice. Although I wasn’t too fond of this specific recipe and haven’t made it since.

Brownie Cookies - Pinterest Recipe : The Pin

I’m sick. So what do I want to eat? Soup? Pft, no way! I want chewy chocolate cookies. Since I am sick, and very tired, I want an easy recipe. So I found this one on Pinterest for chewy brownie cookies.
The recipe is VERY easy to follow, and the ingredients are most likely already in your pantry. All you need is flour, brownie mix, oil, water, and 2 eggs (chocolate chips are optional).
I was able to whip up this batter and have it in the oven within 15 minutes.
The finished cookies are soft, chewy, and very chocolatey. Imagine the most delicious brownie ever, but in cookie form. I really love this recipe because it is VERY satisfying and easy. If you’re craving some chocolate cookies definitely try this recipe.

Christmas Crack- Pinterest Recipe: The Pin The Actual Recipe
This was a recipe I had pinned on my food board and I finally decided to give it a try. I just made my first batch tonight and the results are DELICIOUS!The recipe, found here, is NOT healthy in the least. It requires three sticks of butter! If you are watching your figure, or suffer from diabetes, this recipe isn’t for you. The finished product is very rich and makes great holiday gifts. (I plan on giving some to my friends and family.)
The recipe is a lot like the sweet flavors of Chex Mix I have seen around, for my batch I mixed:

Pretzels
Rice Chex
Raisins
Popcorn
Broken up graham crackers

You can add dried fruits, assorted nuts or all sorts of goodies to your own mix.

Pumpkin Spice Syrup - Pinterest Recipe

Time for another pinterest recipe! Recipes for your own pumpkin spice latte syrup have been all OVER lately. As I have said before, the only pumpkin-coffee beverage I really enjoy is Panera Bread’s Pumpkin Spice Latte. (Because I worked there and drank it religiously every fall.) I wanted to try this recipe out to see if it was Panera-worthy.
This recipe is very simple and used very little ingredients: Sugar, water, pumpkin and the pumpkin pie spices. Almost everyone should have these ingredients in their cabinets already, so I like that it is very accessible. I don’t have to run out to the store to buy anything crazy that I will never cook with again.
I followed the recipe to the letter, and made some very delicious ‘syrup.’ Why is it in quotes? Well it is VERY thin and watery, which is what the recipe is meant to make. I understand that a simple syrup is usually 1-to-1 ratio (meaning even amounts water and sugar) but I like a bit more substance to my syrups.
What does the completed syrup taste like? It tastes a lot like the filling of a pumpkin pie, only MUCH sweeter. The recipe includes pumpkin puree, so you can definitely taste the pumpkin, and it includes a nice balance of the pumpkin pie spices, I don’t find that one really overpowers another. Instead, all the flavors blend together and create a genuine pumpkin pie taste.
This syrup tastes VERY sweet, so if you plan on using it, don’t use any other sweeteners or sweetened creamer. (Unless you want to go into a sugar-coma!)
As for storage, I used iced coffee bottles that I washed out and removed the labels from. I think they look pretty cute!
On a pumpkin-y scale of 1-5 (5 being extremely pumpkin-y) I would rate this a 5!
I think this recipe is delicious, easy, and can help you pumpkin coffee and latte addicts save a few bucks! If you want it thicker, just half the amount of sugar used in the recipe and use less of i in your drink.
(I plan on making a thicker batch to use for pancake syrup!)

Buffalo Chicken Spring Rolls - Pinterest

Another Pinterest recipe! This time I made buffalo chicken spring rolls with spring roll wrappers I bought from the Asian Food Market.
I had this recipe on my pinterest board, slowly I am working my way through the recipes and actually making them.
The recipe was really easy to follow, but the wrappers used in the tutorial were square. Mine were circular which made folding a little trickier. The wrapper got a bit too thick in a few places which made it a little hard to bite into.
I also omitted the blue cheese, because I never use blue cheese with my wings.
I really like this recipe and have already made it two times! If you like wings and want something a little different, give this recipe a try!

Chili’s Queso - Pinterest Recipe
This time, I’m doing something a little bit different.
I found a recipe on pinterest and made it myself. Then, reviewed the taste of the finished product.
This recipe is actually a copycat for Chili’s Queso Dip, which I have had many times with friends at dinner. Does it taste the same?
Not entirely, but it is very close. It is mild and delicious, but I think the Velveeta cheese isn’t quite right, maybe the actual restaurant uses real cheddar instead? Something just isn’t quite right.
I enjoyed this recipe, and I really like that I had all the ingredients already in my pantry, but it isn’t an exact copycat. (Still delicious and great for parties and get togethers.)
