Strawberry All Natural Cane Sugar - Home Goods :Moorestown, NJ

Okay, this post is going to be a little different…

I’m going to do my typical review, but I totally bought this without knowing what I should do with it, so I am going to ask all of you for suggestions.

What should I make with this?

I was drawn to this product because of the packaging. The sugar is inside a thick glass jar with metallic detailing, which gives this product an industrial look, but the typography feels a little off. The lowercase font that is used for “strawberry” looks out of place when mixed with the distressed information in all caps. I like the look of either font on it’s own, but something about mixing the two just doesn’t work.

The only ingredients listed are raw sugar, dried strawberries, beets and red cabbage (the latter two were for coloring purposes only), so this is pretty good stuff. This smells exactly like I expected. I can smell delicious cane sugar mixed with tangy, ground up, dried strawberries.

I love the smell and taste of this fruity sugar, but I have no idea on what to make with it.

PLEASE SEND ANY SUGGESTIONS MY WAY!

Life, Strawberry Crunchtime - Target : Cherry Hill, NJ

Franken Berry is only available in my area around Halloween, how am I supposed to get my strawberry cereal fix year-round? Maybe this new Strawberry Life cereal will help fill the void.

The box is bright and uses a large CG strawberry as the bowl. (Which I love! I wish they sold bowls like that!) As you can see on the box, this cereal is a bit different from other types of flavored Life. According to the website, the “cool pinwheel shape” was meant to appeal to kids. I think that is silly. Why couldn’t they have made strawberry flavored rice-chex?

Once you open the bag you can tell this cereal smells more realistically strawberry than Franken Berry, but it is still definitely artificial. The cereal pieces are a dull rosey color, which might be because of the whole grain used in the cereal. T

As far as taste, it is very light and refreshing. I feel like it is missing something texturally. Franken Berry usually has marshmallows, but with this cereal trying to be healthier I think dried strawberry slices would have been a nice addition.

I think this is a nice cereal, but it feels incomplete.

Haribo Raspberries - Five Below in The Gallery, PA

Gummy candies are my favorite. I went a bit overboard and bought a ton of Haribo sweets that were on sale. I never had these raspberries before, so this was the perfect chance to try them out.

The bag is a classic black and red design with a berry print. The print is beautiful! It reminds me of EGL (Elegant Gothic Lolita) dress patterns.

The candies smell like a mixture of blackberry and raspberry, so there is no chance mistaking these for their licorice counterparts.

Visually, these are adorable! They look like pretty little berries! These would be beautiful decorations for cupcakes or cakes, but the colors would bleed a bit into icings or frostings. These would also look precious in a china bowl for a lolita picnic or event!

Outside, the candy is covered by lightly raspberry flavored confectionery pearls. They are softer than nonpareils and crumble as you chew the candy. These little beads add a nice texture and mouth-feel, I’d eat a bag of just these!

The center isn’t a real gummy, it’s more like a Turkish delight. The inside has a bright raspberry flavor that pairs well with the candy coating.

I think these Haribo Raspberries are visually appealing AND tasty! A great sweet for any tea party, or Lolita gathering. If you like raspberries and chewy treats you MUST try these.
