Rockstar Iced (peach Tea) - Wawa

During my break at work I stopped at Wawa to get some gas, it was a really rough day (and I still had a lot to do) so I grabbed an energy drink. Now, I typically do not drink energy drinks. I don’t like the taste, they usually upset my stomach, and leave me dehydrated. So when I saw this non-carbonated peach-tea flavored one that says it hydrates…I figured it was worth a try.

The can is a yellow-gold with black and white font. Not too pretty, but it is going for a rough, grungy, ‘rockstar’ look. I like the mate texture to the can because even when it was covered in perspiration it was easy to keep a grip on it.

It smells like artificial-sweetener and artificial-peaches. The smell is mellow and pleasant. When poured, it looked like a typical fruit-based iced tea.

After the first sip you taste a very sweet artificial-peach tea. I was actually shocked by how sweet it is! Sadly, that quickly fades into a chemical taste. Blech! As for what it claims, I was energized all day! I stayed up for 10 more hours and got a lot of stuff done. Now, as far as hydration goes…not so much. I felt really dehydrated after drinking this and I didn’t even finish the whole can! I drank water for the rest of the day.

I wouldn’t drink this for the flavor, and it won’t really hydrate you, but it does give you a serious boost of energy. If you think of it like medicine, it isn’t so bad…but I don’t think I’ll be buying this again. (Unless I am desperate for energy.)
